Picture Treasure Hunt
This activity makes your nature walks even more fun. You will need to plan this with your grown-up before your day out, but you will end up with
a reminder of your adventure that you can treasure forever!
Find magazines or catalogues with pictures of animals and plants you might find in the place where you are going on your adventure. Or, if you like to draw, then get out your colouring pens or pencils and draw them instead!
Cut out your pictures and glue them on to your paper, leaving space around each one.
You can either make a sheet of nature pictures for everyone in your group, or one to do together as a team. When the glue is dry, write down the name of each animal and plant to help you keep track of them on your nature walk.
Bring your nature pages with you on your day out. See how many of the animals and plants you can find! Circle, tick or cross out each one with your dry-erase marker as you go – then, when you’re done, take your completed pages home to keep as a reminder of your
nature adventure!
You will need:
A4 paper, at least two pieces
around 10-12
nature pictures from magazines, catalogues or the internet
scissors glue
colouring pens or pencils
a marker pen
