 2 egg whites
1⁄4 teaspoon cream of tartar
3⁄4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
480 g icing sugar
food colouring
clean, new craft paintbrushes
Beat the egg whites and the cream of tartar until the mixture is foamy and makes stiff peaks. Be careful not to beat it too much. Add the vanilla extract and mix well. Then add the icing sugar, little by little, mixing until smooth.
Divide your icing into several containers (teacups or mugs are perfect). Add a tiny bit
of hot water and stir
well if your cookie paint becomes too thick. Now paint your cookies and leave them to dry. You can store them in a tin for up to a week and they make a perfect present for family and friends!
