“I think we should go and see some
other animals,” Zoe whispered to her friends.
“Good idea,” Grace agreed.
“Let’s go to the petting zoo,” said Priti. “I want to see the goats.”
As Zoe’s friends started making their way to the petting zoo, Zoe hung back so she could talk to Hugo without them hearing.
“You can’t just run off like that,” she told him as she removed the leaves from his spikes.“You might get lost!”
Hugo gave a sad little snuffle.
“You were trying to help Mr Pinch clear up the leaves?” exclaimed Zoe.“Oh, Hugo, that’s really nice of you.”
Hugo gave another sad snuffle.
