Life is full of choices that affect everything that happens afterwards, but we can’t know what all the effects will be when we make the choice.
I look back on my life (so far) and can see places where the roads diverged. I like my life, but sometimes I think about all the things that would have been different if I had gone another way, and I wonder.
This poem is about taking the less common and conventional path. That is a basis on which to make a choice, but life will always involve leaps in the dark.
