Of course, this is just an example of what an emperor’s palace might have looked like. Unfortunately, no one thought to take a photo of one on their smartphones back then. Doh!

your house was a bit more lively?
Maybe it’s a bit quiet where you live. You just have a goldfish as a pet and it doesn’t say much and refuses to fetch sticks – totally LAZY.
Well, if you lived in the palace of the
emperor of the Aztecs, things could definitely be on the busier side. For a start the emperor Moctezuma II had lots of kids with many mothers (some his wives and some not)!
That’s a whole bunch of birthdays to remember.
I´ve been waiting for an hour just to brush my teeth.
Outside the palace there were two huge aviaries with every bird imaginable and wild beasts in cages. Sounds interesting . . . but imagine trying to get to sleep at night with all that tweeting and roaring going on!
There were also snakes kept in pottery jars – so you’d have to be sure you got the right jar when you were searching for where your brother had hidden his stash of sweets, or things might get a little bitey.
