The richest Aztec of them all – the emperor – always dined alone, often hidden behind a screen, presumably so people wouldn’t catch him DrIbBlInG chilli sauce down his chin. His
servants prepared 30 dishes for him at every meal! These were said to include the likes of wild boar meat, mushroom soup, stewed snails and pacas, which are large rodents! It has even been suggested he ate HuMaN meat at times. It’s enough to make you crave a carrot.
If you think that sounds AmAzEbObS, just imagine your mum and dad ordering you to finish EvErY lAsT dRoP or you’ll get sent to bed with nO computer game time. Come to think of it, three courses are probably just fine and dandy.
