Altar
The biggest room in a typical Greek house was called the andron. This was where the men had PaRtIeS. No Women were allowed.
Bedrooms
One place women WErE AlLoWeD was the kitchen, which had a big fire in the middle of the room for cooking. When the women were not cooking they were often spinning and Weaving. They had their own area in the house called the gYnAiKoN, which is also where the children would play.
Most women and girls were not allowed to do much in ancient Greece except Work and . . . err, that’s it. I know. It sounds rubbish! Please do not take it out

If your mum told you to have a bath before bed there were several ways to get clean. Rich people’s houses might have a separate bathroom with a clay bath and a drain leading outside. Poorer homes would have had a more basic basin for washing in.
