How you can help
Use a reusable bag for your shopping and don’t throw plastic bags into the bin. They might end up in the ocean and can become a danger to sea creatures.
Only buy responsibly and sustainably sourced fish to eat to prevent over-fishing of endangered species.
Plastic bags and other plastic rubbish thrown into the ocean kill more than one million sea creatures every year!
Don’t buy wild-caught fish as pets – if we continue to take animals from the wild there will eventually be none left.
Never flush wet wipes down the toilet – they don’t break down like toilet paper and can harm animals in the ocean.
Don’t use plastic straws to drink through. If you really need a straw, use a metal or paper one.
