MUSIC COMPETITION

“JUGEND MUSIZIERT” 2023

With a successful overall result, the 60th Sama Abu Diab, Qanoun (9A)
regional competition "Jugend musiziert" took Laila Risheq, Qanoun (external)
place at the Schmidt-Schule and Talitha Kumi 1st prize in the category ensemble of special
on 26th & 28th of January. Every year, the regional instruments:
renowned competition offers young musicians Nai Alghoul, Ney (5B)
the opportunity to showcase their musical Amir Chalil, Tabla (external)
skills. After the regional competitions, which Yasar Bakri, Oud (external)
take place in more than 160 locations, the 1st prize in the category wind ensemble:
winners go on to the state competition in Mariane Baddour, Bassoon (12B)
Cairo and finally to the national competition in Maria Slepchenko, Bassoon (external)
Germany. 1st prize and qualification for the second
We are so proud of our students. The round of the competition in the category vocal
musical level at the Schmidt-Schule was singing:
once again very high and we are pleased Dara Katbeh (12B)
that all participating students were awarded 1st prizes and qualification for the second
with either a 1st or 2nd prize. Four (also round of the competition in the category
former) students received a forwarding to ensemble of special regional instruments:
the state competition due to their very good Razan Awar, Oud (12B)
performance. We wish you good luck and Nareen Salem, Qanoun (12B)
