This October, join DVLP for an evening celebration of original artworks created
by local artists to celebrate the spirit and survival of the River Dearne, commissioned by the Dearne Valley Landscape Partnership #artofthedearne programme.
This will include a special screening of the ‘Of The River’, live performance and artist introductions.

‘Of The River’
Taking a contemporary spin on the radio ballad format, the artwork blends music, sound and film created and captured locally. The work also features collaborations with local poet/songwriter Ray Hearne, nationally acclaimed choral arranger Barry Coope
and the quintessential ‘Thurnscoe Sound,’ Thurnscoe Male Harmonic Voice Choir.
‘Fragments’
A textile installation created by Louise Wright made in collaboration with Wombwell Park Street Primary School, inspired by the biodiversity of the River Dearne.
Refreshments will be provided. Free parking is available on site.
