INSPIRE NURTURE BELIEVE ACHIEVE
Working together to be the best that we can be.
Zoe Pickard is the Headteacher of the Goldsborough Sicklinghall Federation; home to Goldsborough Church of England Primary School (VC) close to Knaresborough, and Sicklinghall Community Primary School close to Wetherby on the borders of North and West Yorkshire. Both schools are located at the heart of each idyllic
village and an integral part of the communities in which they are situated.
Each school maintains close links with the local Church (St. Mary The Virgin in Goldsborough village and St. Peter’s in Sicklinghall village).
We are proud of our values and the way we use these as the cornerstones to underpin our nurturing, family ethos. The most important values, voted for by our stakeholders as best representing our Federation, are Happiness, Perseverance, Resilience, Kindness, Friendship and Respect. These are the characteristics that we weave throughout the curriculum to enable our children to become the most wonderful, well-rounded
people, who are ready to have a positive impact on the world around them, now and in the future.
Our spacious school buildings and school grounds provide a wonderful learning environment in which all our children can thrive.
Our aim is to ensure that the Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs are met for every child on a daily basis. We know that when children feel safe and secure, and have the right mind-set, they are more able to
tackle the curriculum, learn to the best of their ability and truly flourish in their primary education.
The most important values representing our
Federation are happiness, perseverance, resilience, kindness, friendship and
