Morrison’s Academy is a vibrant independent day school, nestled in the heart of Crie, Perthshire. Established
in 1860, the school’s 160-year legacy and rich heritage provides an excellent foundation for the progressive programmes, learning platforms, forward-thinking curriculum and superb campus from which generations of Morrisonians have benefited.
The school’s long tradition of academic success continues today. Morrison’s Academy follows a contemporary Scottish curriculum programme of independent, child-centred learning. The success of this is demonstrated
by consistent excellent attainment. The school oers a truly personalised education, where every child is known and guided to find their passions and develop their strengths.
Morrison’s Academy also looks for every opportunity to build emotional intelligence, creativity and life skills. The school’s strong academic foundation is supplemented by numerous educational programmes designed to provide pupils with tangible skills: Forest School; the
Outdoor Activities and Adventures programme; the unique Learning for
Life programme, and more recently, the school’s partnership with the Peter Jones Foundation and the establishment of the first Peter Jones Enterprise Academy in Scotland, adding practical business and enterprise skills to the mix.
The beautiful campus location allows ample opportunity for outdoor education. The school’s Forest School and Outdoor Activities and Adventures
programmes make the most of both the expansive school grounds and the often wild local landscape.
The Learning for Life programme helps pupils to develop a thorough knowledge of themselves, others and the world around them. It provides pupils with a skill set to become life- long, adaptable learners and successful adults. It encourages them to find their own set of personal values, and discover what matters to them and who they want
to be. The programme’s utilisation of regular trips, community projects and international partnerships mean that all Morrison’s pupils are connected with the world outside the classroom.
Morrison’s Academy’s key tenet
of delivering “a sound classical and commercial education” still holds true today and, with the unprecedented economic downturn this country is currently facing, Morrison’s Academy believes this tenet is more important
than ever. The programmes from the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy will help foster a culture of enterprise, resilience, problem-solving and an entrepreneurial, innovative mindset, all of which can be applied to whichever career pupils choose.
Attending Morrison’s Academy is more than an academic education. It prepares Morrisonians for big futures with skills to take them wherever they want to go. www.morrisonsacademy.org
