We are pleased to say that thanks to the generosity of supporters within our community, we have been able to transform the old bays into nine individual bedrooms.
The work Ashgate Hospicecare does is vital to our community, giving people the best quality of life to help them live each day as fully as possible. After seeing first-hand the invaluable work the team delivers to patients and their families, and with the hospice relying heavily on donations, we knew we had to get involved in some capacity. G F Tomlinson has held many fundraising events for Ashgate since 2017, including charity football days at Chesterfield FC, charity auctions, various baking and coffee mornings, ‘wear Ashgate colours’ day and a 10k charity walk.
We are also proud to have been the first company to sponsor a nurse through Ashgate’s initiative, which allows the organisation to provide more care and reach more patients across North Derbyshire.
We feel privileged to be able to support such a worthwhile cause and invest back in the local community.

Ashgate Hospicecare is a wonderful organisation, and as a lifelong resident of the area, I understand just how much they have contributed to the local community. Together with my fellow directors
Lee Jordan and Colin McGregor, and our teams in Chesterfield, Buckingham and London, we have worked with Ashgate on several charity events and most notably represented them in the London Marathon 2015. This redevelopment will provide modern, private and comfortable spaces for patients during their stay. The new conservatories will allow plenty of natural light into the room
and doors will open directly onto the garden area, so patients can easily get into the fresh air and enjoy peaceful surroundings. CLoSE are delighted to assist in this redevelopment and welcome the opportunity to support and help such a worthy cause.
