Trips
High School girls have a real taste for adventure and regularly venture to all corners of the globe!
Every year there are numerous trips and regular exchange programmes, giving girls
the opportunity to broaden their horizons, gain self-con dence and experience new countries.
In their rst few weeks at WGHS, all of Year 7 take part in an outdoors activity residential trip, which encourages teamwork and friendship-building.
It allows pupils and staff to get to know each other at the start of what will be a successful, adventure- lled and fun journey at WGHS.
Numerous curriculum-based trips and eldwork visits, in the UK and overseas, enhance the educational experience of our students, supported by an established foreign exchange programme with schools in France, Germany and the USA.
Groups of students from WGHS have bene ted from overseas expeditions in countries such
as Tanzania, Romania and Costa Rica. These trips have allowed girls to contribute to local communities through voluntary work in orphanages and schools, whilst also having the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities, wildlife and landscape diversities.
