TRENDS #1:
GLOBAL TRAVELLER
Brass giraffe ornament, £60, Liberty of London. www.libertylondon.com
Go on a global safari this autumn without even leaving your living room! This trend has been building slowly throughout 2018 and next year will see an explosion of animal prints, tribal inspired patterns and soft, earthy paint colours.
This trend is a diverse celebration
of globally-inspired patterns, fusing together decorative Ikats, paisleys and intricate Indian block prints. Rich tones, alongside the rugged textures of wicker and wood, symbolise the
authentic, handcrafted style of this nomadic trend.
Look out for hand-dyed textiles in rich, earthy pigments and hand-thrown pottery. Tassels, pom-pom detailing and macramé will be popular for soft furnishings.
This look is all about authenticity, so don’t worry about things matching too much and add items you’ve collected on your travels for
truly personalised interiors.
