Developing the Individual
Boys take responsibility for their lifestyle and learning, displaying a great sense of belonging towards their school.
Interwoven with the curriculum and delivered by Form Tutors, Heads of Year, the School Medical Team, visiting speakers and specialists from all subject departments, the Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education (PSHEE) programme plays a vital part in informing and supporting
our pupils.
Varied and sensitive to changing social pressures and individual needs, the programme underpins the pastoral life of QEGS and has a vital role in supporting and achieving the aims and ethos of the school.
Delivery of the majority of the PSHEE curriculum during KS3(Years7to9)byFormTutors,allowsclassinteraction and provides pastoral bene ts for the pupils, nurturing the relationship between them and their Form Tutor.
In Years 10 and 11 (KS4) the balance is evenly split between PSHEE and Citizenship with delivery through specialists.
In the Sixth Form there is an increase in the Citizenship aspects, along with an emphasis
on personal responsibility. Pupils develop their knowledge, skills and understanding, qualities and the attitudes they need in order to make responsible moral decisions and act on them.
