Clubs and Societies
Over 50 clubs and societies are held during the school week, encouraging involvement and fostering a pupil’s talents and interests.
Each club or society is run under the guidance of a member of staff, but much of the responsibility is given to the pupils.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award at QEGS is going from strength to strength and, in recognition of being one of the schools with the highest completion rates in the area, is an of cial DofE Centre.
The award offers pupils a challenging opportunity to further themselves through practical, cultural and adventurous activity. Many gain their Bronze Award with a signi cant proportion achieving Silver and Gold.
Alongside QED, the many dedicated lunchtime clubs, societies and musical collaborations add breadth and diversity to the QEGS experience.
