Welcome to our New Year's Eve Gala Masquerade
Concert. I feel enough has been said about the year
that wasn't, but needless to say, we at the
Queensland Pops Orchestra are grateful for your
ongoing support and encouragement in this
challenging time.

Leaving that behind we are delighted to be able to
present this extraordinary special concert. We
continue to work within various restrictions, but I
hope that will not affect your ability to enjoy
tonight's performance.

MMus, BMus, FTCL, LRAM,
ARCM, LTCL, ALCM We are thrilled to be able to welcome tenor Kang
Wang as the principal guest artist. Joining Kang will
be soprano Katie Stenzel along with violinist Cherin
Lee. This star-studded guest list will be
complemented by the Resonance of Birralee chorus,
piper Bruce Grice and ballroom dancers Emma and
Rhett Salmon.

This 90-minute concert has moments of uplifting joy
and moments to reflect on the year past. Most of
all, I hope it will raise in you a sense of hope for a
better New year in 2021. Enjoy tonight's concert
and we look forward to entertaining you again next
year.
