The motherly image is well-associated with the living embodiment of
nature that focuses on the life-giving aspects of the environment. Birds for
a fact are one of the undeniably heartwarming symbols of motherhood. It's
an oddity in their nature to produce and build their own nest just to provide
security and safety for their children.

KOPYA is inspired by the commonly known Kalinga ethnic dance the Tachok
from the word "payok" which means the expression of one's happiness or
victory. The dance imitates birds flying in the air with music provided by
gangsa or gongs. It is performed by maidens who come together to
celebrate the expression of glee and triumph.
