Maybe we should heed Salzman‘ when he stated:
• The use of cephalometric standards drawn from individuals with
excellent occlusion as means of deciding treatment
objectives has no scientific justification!
• The only thing one can be certain about
cephalic measurements is that they will vary from patient
to patient.
• The range of variation is more important than the
mean of which the so called standards are based.”
