Page 10 - AI & Machine Learning for Beginners: A Guided Workbook
P. 10
Fill-in-the-Blank Exercise:
"Artificial Intelligence is about machines that can _________________,
human-like abilities such as _________________, and ___________________.”
(Answers: mimic, learning, problem-solving)
Exploring Machine Learning (ML):
A subset of AI where computers learn from data without being
explicitly programmed for each task. Instead of following specific
instructions, the system identifies patterns in data and improves its
performance over time.
Activity: Connect the dots! Draw lines between these
machine learning terms and their meanings (match the
number to the correct letter)
1. Algorithm… a) The raw information ML
systems learn from
2. Model … b) Step-by-step procedures for
solving problems
3. Data … c) The mathematical structure
created after training
How ML Works
Instead of manually programming a machine for every possible
task, ML algorithms learn from data—identifying patterns,
improving performance, and making predictions or decisions based
on previous experiences.
