father’s friend. This man who I saw embrace my mother in a
way that was just plain wrong!
The deep betrayal burns inside me. It keeps company with
the angry little girl who is fighting to survive. And the sad and
loyal daughter who misses her daddy so desperately.
I let go a silent scream as I dry my tears on the new curtains.
It is time to run outside and greet my friends. I need to hide
from my own shame and humiliation. From this horrendous
ache in my soul. But mostly, I need to hide from the devastating
pain I feel for my dear sweet, abandoned Daddy.
