YOUR BUSINESS CREDIT

STRATEGY

This book is designed to guide you through the stages of
building business credit without having cash flow, collateral, or
great personal credit. The term “stages” here is important
because, as with any career path, you’ve got to have a strategy.
Many publicly available sources of information on business
credit do not fully explain that some types are riskier or more
difficult to get than others, or that having certain types of credit
lines in place before applying for others can qualify you for more
funding and more favorable interest rates without being a
personal guarantor.
The widespread lack of cash access and attention to strategy
in online how-tos is one reason why so many business owners
become frustrated after, for example, applying for a business
loan and being rejected. Often, they have never been told that
bank loans are one of the most advanced forms of obtaining
business capital and that it’s a good idea to build their business
credit through other methods before applying if they want to be
approved.
I will begin this book with the assumption that you have no
