ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Chevon K. Patrick is a credit educator,
and founder and President of Major
League Credit Repair, LLC. She estab-
lished Major League Credit Repair
after realizing how much she and her
peers had not been taught about
credit and finance in school or life.
After discovering that good credit is
the key to financial literacy, and to
multiplying wealth using other people’s money, Chevon set out to
provide education and expert assistance to others like herself.
Chevon has a particular passion for serving, educating, and
investing in Black communities and Black business owners. She has
seen how historical injustice and lack of financial education opportuni-
ties too often creates a cycle of poverty.
Chevon is also a mother, a cancer survivor, a student, and a believer
in spiritual healing. She currently lives with her youngest son Kaelon
while admiring the musical talent and career of her older son, Taejon.
She is still, unfortunately, grieving the loss of her youngest daughter,
Yevaeh, who was nine. It is her profound hope that the soul as well as
the entire body of the Black community can be healed and made whole
through God, skillful use of financial education, spiritual guidance and
whatever else may be necessary to build overall prosperity.
