SESSION 9
5 Your pure faith and love rest over your heart as you nurture those
who are yet infants.
The Shulamite
6 I’ve made up my mind. Until the darkness disappears and the dawn
has fully come, in spite of shadows and fears, I will go to the
mountaintop with you- the mountain of suffering love and the hill of
burning incense. Yes, I will be your bride.
C
hapter 4, opens with the Bridegroom lovingly praising the
Shulamite as she sits at His feet during her season of being
set aside to receive more revelation of His love and passion.
In the latter part of Chapter 3, He made known to her the position she
holds in Christ, and now He tells her how He views her. There is an
urgency in His voice. He tells her to listen. When someone tells us to
listen, it is usually because what they are about to say holds great
weight. It is so important that she understands and grasps how much
she means to Him. He truly regards her as beauty itself.
The enemy holds many sons and daughters of God in bondage to shame
and condemnation. He whispers in our ears as the “accuser of the
brethren,” but our God never condemns. Jesus paid the price so that we
can be free to enjoy His love, total forgiveness, and acceptance. God’s
acceptance of us is based on our position in Christ, not on our
performance.
