     Sports

Sancton Wood Sport is taking a step in the right direction:

     Introducing the Sport Development Programme

The programme consists of two sessions per week; an after school seminar each week on a sport specific programme to develop your
child’s overall sporting profile and an early morning strength and conditioning session. As well as this, each participant will be assigned
a mentor from the PE department or staff member who has a background in their particular sport and aid in their development and set
targets to reach their potential over a half-term basis. The programme will support pupils through their long-term journey as an athlete
to enable them to reach their physical and mental sporting capabilities. We have linked up with ARU to develop our athletes who we feel
want to enhance and maximise their physical and sporting capabilities.
