FIGHT
As a last resort, and only when your life is in imminent danger, act as a group and attempt to disrupt and/or incapacitate the intruder by:
• Throwing items (i.e. chairs).
• Using improvised weapons (i.e. fire extinguishers).
• Yelling.
• Acting with extreme violence and committing to your actions.
NOTE: Most hostile intruder incidents are unpredictable, but some may
be anticipated and thus prevented. Early reporting of perceived workplace violence allows management to quickly address and correct a problem before it becomes severe.
Employees with safety and security concerns should report them to management.
