MyRide Southeast – Bradley County & Hamilton County
The Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging & Disability (SETAAAD) had an extremely busy year launching both the Bradley County and Hamilton County MyRide programs. Between the two programs, they have completed eight steering committee meetings, four volunteer trainings and have provided 153 trips covering more than 200 miles.
MyRide Southeast has completed marketing events at various locations, from church groups to car shows. Some interesting highlights include attending a Chattanooga Lookouts baseball game hosted by the Lions Club where members from many local clubs gathered to promote their services/opportunities; manning a table at the local Duck Race which was attended by many community members and promoted by the local radio stations; and by joining AARP at its monthly “Moves for Grownups” and “shred event” which had more than 1,000 participants including local government and police.
MyRide Southeast has also explored new marketing strategies such as an “Every Door Direct Mailer” which was delivered to nearly 10,000 households in Bradley County (specifically targeting households with older adults) and sending MyRide information to local Meals on Wheels clients.
MyRide Southeast TN’s website also went live recently, giving tech savvy individuals quick access to information about the program.
