Severe Weather
When severe weather (tornado) is favorable, weather conditions will be monitored internally and if threatening weather is imminent, an announcement will be made via the public address (PA) system.
YOU MUST:
• Immediately relocate to your designated severe weather shelter area. Severe weather shelter assembly signs are posted in the facility and on the evacuation/shelter assembly diagrams.
• Evacuate the 2nd floor (always go down, never go up)
• Follow the instructions of your Evacuation Coordinators. • Report directly to your supervisor upon reaching the
shelter assembly location.
• Remain in the shelter assembly areas until the ALL
CLEAR.
DO NOT:
• Leave the building.
• Go into areas with exterior windows or glass.
• Wait for friends or coworkers.
• Stop at break rooms or lockers.
Inclement Weather
The facility will make every effort to maintain normal work hours even during inclement weather. In the event of weather-related delays and closures, you should: Call the Inclement Weather Hotline at (901) 379-1664. Information regarding delays and closures will be available by 5:30 am.
In addition to the Inclement Weather Hotline, Brother uses the Alert Media Notification System to communicate closings, delayed openings, and any other urgent information directly to employees via voice, text, or email messaging.
NOTE: Tornado sirens are controlled by the National Weather Service and may NOT reflect an immediate threat to the Tennessee facility.
