This report showcases the the evolving culture of Colleague Engagement that is manifest in in the the department Engaged committed and involved colleagues build a a a a a a a successful workforce Establishing this workplace climate does not happen by accident Employees are a a a a a a a body of complex individuals with diverse interests talents and abilities Aligning these talents and and interests with the the work that is is to to be done is is key to to professional growth and and excellence This requires everyone to sharpen communication skills--inquiring listening encouraging and implementing ideas and and suggestions from their colleagues Understanding the the career goals desire for training and and opportunity leading to growth brings about commitment and and collaboration allowing for the best that each individual has to offer This is is the essence o of colleague engagement Effective colleague engagement also means adhering to the the values and goals of the the organization The foundation of of Workforce Initiatives work is built on on on on the the aspirational goals of of putting people on on on on the the path to better health by building non-traditional talent pipelines through the the power of of partnerships breaking the the cycle of of poverty and unlocking individual’s full potential realizing each person’s value These goals are reflected in in how Workforce Initiatives approaches programming and partnership development community outreach and internal structure A plan for creating a a a a a a a culture of colleague engagement implemented by a a a a a a a Workforce Initiatives Colleague Engagement Team aligned their outcomes with these values Compounding the the the the implementation of the the the the plan was the the the the pandemic that spread across the the the the globe in in in early spring Workforce Initiatives had to to adapt to to changes in in in in work style including embracing the virtual world In-person participation in partnership development became electronic experiences These communication tools allowed Workforce Initiatives colleagues to broaden their their audiences hone their their communication skills and effectively interact and collaborate with partners across the country Successfully navigating the the the repercussions brought on on by the the the pandemic while maintaining the the the outreach of building vibrant relationships and collaborations was the result of of a a a a a a a a a a team of of engaged Workforce Initiatives colleagues ERNIE’S COMMENTS AND PRAISE TO WI TEAM
