Bergamot

The vast majority of the world’s bergamot grows in Reggio Calabria in southern Italy. This
beautiful area—known for its fruit—is where we source our Bergamot essential oil.
Bergamot is one of the most delicate citrus plants and resembles a cross between
a lime and a grapefruit. Traditionally, bergamot has been grown for essential oil, but
recent studies show there are benefits to drinking fresh bergamot juice, so demand has
increased.
Frankincense

Frankincense has been a valued trade commodity since ancient times by many peoples,
including the Egyptians, Assyrians, Persians, Macedonians, and Kushites. The precious
resins comprise what’s believed to be the world’s oldest global supply chain.

Frankincense essential oil is a proprietary blend of resins from four tree species:
Boswellia carterii, B. papyrifera, B. frereana, and B. sacra. dōTERRA blends multiple
frankincense trees because different trees thrive in different environments and soil types.

Lime

Southern Brazil has the perfect climate for citrus growing and consequently producing
high-quality citrus oils. Similar to Lemon, Lime essential oil is cold-pressed from the rinds
of fresh limes.
