Do It Yourself with Sunny Citrus: Garbage Disposal Refreshers
Does your garbage disposal need refreshing? With everything that goes into the
disposal, odds are odors could be accumulating in there. Try this simple DIY to make
your garbage disposal smell clean and fresh! BOGO 5 Sunny Citrus
Ingredients:
2 cups baking soda
1 cup salt
½ cup water
⅓ cup unscented liquid Castile soap
30 drops Sunny Citrus
Note: Liquid Castile soap is a vegetable-based soap commonly found in health
food stores.
Instructions:
1. Combine the baking soda and salt in a bowl.
2. Add the Castile soap and essential oil.
3. Add water—one tablespoon at a time—while stirring with your hands until it
has the consistency of damp sand, staying together when pressed. (If you
add too much water, just add more baking soda until the consistency is
right.)
4. Scoop packed spoonfuls using a tablespoon measurer onto parchment
paper.
5. Once the mixture’s been cooped, let dry for 24 hours or until hard. (One
batch should make about 36 garbage disposal refreshers.)
6. Place in a glass jar for use the next time you do dishes. Just put one to
three refreshers into the garbage disposal and turn it on, immediately
smelling the refreshing scent of Sunny Citrus.
