contohnya seperti the homework, the book, dan the

library diatas.

 Article 'The' ditempatkan di depan kata benda

yang telah diketahui pada awal kalimat. Contohnya

seperti:

- We cooked a chicken for dinner last night, the

chicken was very tough.

- Yesterday we bought a new computer, and the

computer is really good.

Pada contoh diatas, kalimat pertama tidak memakai

article the karena bersifat tidak spesifik, namun pada

kalimat selanjutnya memakai the karena sudah

diketahui bagaimana sifat dari benda tersebut seperti

di the chicken was very tough dan the computer is

really good.
