FDA approval and its wide spread applications in USA. So, I participated
in many workshops organized by European regional anesthesiologists held in USA, then went to
Toronto, Canada to get 2 weeks training with ultrasound guided nerve blocks, and 6 weeks
additional training at Virginia Mason Medical Center at University of Washington in Seattle in
2004.
I organized and coordinated the First Ultrasound-guided Nerve Blocks Workshop at
Washington University in St. Louis in March 2005. Then I started the first ultrasound-guided
nerve blocks and co-founded the Regional Anesthesia Program at Washington University
School of Medicine in St. Louis in 2006. Today Regional Anesthesia & Acute Pain Fellowship
Program accepts 3-4 fellows a year.
2)Executive MBA:
Today’s medical practices are closely associated with the business, regardless of private
practices or academics. WashU Medical School gives Leadership Retreats opportunity to those
MD who practice for 7-10 years at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professors. It’s a very
important credential to have, especially if you are interested in leadership position in your
department or Hospital.
3)Always keep in mind: What can you contribute to your Department or Institution?
