More accurately put, you can know, with some certainty, the probability of the results of a certain action – sometimes with clarity and sometimes with ambiguity.
People who are in touch with this level of intuition can respond to future events where there is no connection with either Past or Present Intuition.
Although once you are able to routinely connect with your intuition, past and present intuition combine with future intuition to deal with whatever issue confronts you.
The HeartMath research showed that people can accurately predict future events. They were also able to detect where in their body the first “awareness” occurred and the path to conscious awareness.
Interestingly, the intuitive input is first perceived by the heart, then communicated to the frontal lobe and then to the stomach or gut where, for many people, intuitive awareness first occurs (gut feel).
Of all the people who have studied intuition, I believe famed psychologist C. G. Jung tops the list. I cover his four functions of consciousness as a way to add perspective to the function called intuition.
Four Functions of Consciousness: Carl G. Jung
Jung introduced intuition as one of the four functions of consciousness: sensing, intuition, thinking, and feeling.
These are either input/perceiving functions (sensing and intuition), or processing/judging functions (thinking and feeling.)
Another way to think about intuition or the intuitive mind is to separate the way our mind works into categories: rational and what some would call irrational, the opposite of rational. I prefer to call the two minds rational and intuitive. Left brain/right brain.
Understanding how each of these two minds work will help to put intuition into perspective considering our other mental functions. The two minds that either work together or separately. Integrating these two
