Of the nine profiles, there was one couple who seemed to exercise their individual intuitive strengths to help each other.
Two of the people profiled are or have been CEOs of major companies.
One is a highly respected consultant who teaches the integration of intuition and intellect.
One is a man who teaches inner guidance and has developed what I would call a level of mastery for following his internal guidance.
Interestingly of the women interviewed (32% of the interviews), nearly all were very much in touch with their intuition – often more so than men.
However, the women interviewed do not seem to trust of their intuitive guidance as much as the men do.
I believe this knowledge provides a great opportunity for women who aspire to leadership. The opportunity is to develop more trust in their intuitive direction which is essential for leadership in today’s complex world.
Many of the women interviewed described early life experiences where they had, what could be described as, psychic experiences. As they grew older, however, these experiences were driven out by our culture which still frowns on these types of experiences, particularly in children.
On the male side, it seems that those men, like myself, who struggle with integrating our intuition have a difficult time facing our emotional side which blocks the flow of intuitive direction.
Here again is where culture, particularly in older men, seems to drive the emotional experience in boys into the unconscious.
Those men profiled who drive their lives by their internal guidance have all addressed this in some way. Two of them through their religious beliefs and the rest through a quest to integrate their intuitive function. In one case, this was driven by a near-death experience.
