Page 28 - Your Leader Within Introduction
P. 28
When I decided I wanted expand my ability to communicate with and through my higher power, rather than through the lens of my ego, I needed answers.
Why are some people internally driven, while others are externally driven? I know some are extroverts and some introverts, but that wasn’t enough. What gives some people the confidence to make the right choices in life?
As I interviewed people from all walks of life, I found that the people who appeared to be the most successful, defined simply as “happy, healthy, wealthy,” were those folks who were driven primarily by their intuition. They are in the habit of continually asking for inner guidance. Sometimes consciously and sometimes not.
When asked about intuition, for example, Fred Smith would not necessarily give intuition credit for his decisions. There comes a point where intuition is so powerful in an individual, it simply doesn’t exist for that person. Like a fish in water, it is part of who he or she is and is not conscious. It is unconscious competence.
