These experiments were conducted to determine the effect of desire (the stake that a participant had in the outcome).
With this protocol, participants were given an amount of money and four betting choices based on their selection of red or black coming up as predicted by a random number generator.
Conclusions
The use of intuition increased the probability of success in predicting the outcome compared to similar tests where there was no excitement or stake in the outcome.
Also, repeat entrepreneurs were more accurate and made more money than average business people.
Tests were also conducted during different times of the month, specifically full moon compared with new moon. The conclusion is that people are more intuitive during a full moon period. This is explained by the subtle shifts in the earth’s magnetic field.
What has not been scientifically validated
