About Idukki, Kerala
Our own country fights with the land and the
mountains, growing gold in the soil. A
community of people who love nature! Idukki
is the one of the proud district in Kerala that
promotes religious harmony by mixing love
and brotherhood.
Idukki is one of the most scenic districts and
known as spice garden in Kerala, with the
Sahya ranges occupying most of the
geographical area, Idukki is one of Kerala's
most naturally beautiful places. High ranges
and wooded valleys of Idukki offers diverse
attractions like Wildlife sanctuaries, hill
stations, dams, gardening tours,
mountaineering and elephant rides are some
of the attractions that attract tourists. Munnar
Hill Station, Idukki Dam, Thekkady Wildlife
Sanctuary and Peermede Vagamon are the
major tourist attractions. There are also many
other places that attract the attention of
tourists.

ABOUT Idukki Association –
Kuwait.
Idukki Association - Kuwait (IAK) is a non-
profit, socio-cultural association of the people
hailing from the Idukki District of Kerala, India
and residing in Kuwait. The association bears
no allegiance to any religion, caste, creed, sex
or political parties.
On December 27, 2005, the group was formed
to organize and unify the citizens from Idukki
District under one banner for their mutual
profit and well-being. The Idukki Association
was founded with 27 members. The
association's first meeting was conducted on
April 7, 2006. The association is now registered
with the Indian Embassy in Kuwait and has
around 500 members. Our Patron is a sitting
Member of Parliament from the Idukki
Parliamentary Constituency. More than
thousands of people from the Idukki District
work in Kuwait, the majority of them live there
along with their families.
