Yealink Extends Partnership With Ribbon to Offer Distributors a Comprehensive, Cost-Effective Microsoft Teams Solution
Integrated solution delivers the latest Yealink SIP-based endpoints with Ribbon’s advanced SBC technology to provide enterprises
with Teams collaboration and survivability capabilities.
Xiamen, China - Yealink, a global
leading unified communications (UC) terminal solution provider, has announced the availability of a Microsoft Teams
bundled solution program with Ribbon Communications for select distributors
in North America. In March of this year, Yealink and Ribbon announced that they were partnering to provide enterprises with faster adoption options for Microsoft Teams.
In addition to the partnership announced earlier this year, Yealink and Ribbon continually work together to deliver solutions designed to enhance the Microsoft Teams
collaboration experience. This new program will enable systems integrators to cost- effectively deliver fully featured Microsoft Teams phones powered by Ribbon’s market- leading Session Border Controllers (SBCs), while expediting implementation, ensuring business continuity, and streamlining support efforts.
“Microsoft Teams is one of the fastest growing enterprise collaboration tools in the world. Not only are Ribbon and Yealink working together to bring an innovative solution to market, they are also offering this bundled program to incentivize systems integrators to augment their Teams implementations with this solution,” said Alvin Liao, Vice President of Products at Yealink. “The Ribbon and Yealink bundled offering is an affordable solution that can be
combined with Microsoft Teams to offer a smooth migration path and survivability plan.”
The bundled program includes Yealink’s Microsoft-certified Teams phones including the T55A and T58A desk phones, and the CP960 conference phone with Ribbon’s appliance and software-based SBC 1000, SBC 2000and SBC Software edition (SWe) Lite. Full interoperability testing was successfully completed by Yealink and Ribbon earlier this year, eliminating the need for independent testing by systems integrators.
“Our latest collaborative effort with
Yealink has allowed us to deliver a unique
and reliable solution that only enhances the enterprise experience in a Microsoft Teams environment,” said Jennifer Kidd, Vice President of Global Business Development for Ribbon. Offering a bundled program to our

Pexip to Offer Free Cloud Video Interop Capabilities for Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hub 2 Customers
Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 certified for Microsoft Teams
Ceiling array microphone now part of the Microsoft Teams Rooms offer
Wedemark - The Sennheiser TeamConnect Ceiling 2 microphone is now certified for Microsoft Teams Rooms when deployed with Microsoft-certified DSPs. The ceiling array microphone, which offers easy installation and patented dynamic beamforming technology, will be available from Microsoft as a solution for Microsoft Teams Rooms complete with a Microsoft- certified DSP. TeamConnect Ceiling
2 delivers flexibility and performance thanks to automatic, adaptive beamforming. This technology, patented by Sennheiser, automatically focuses on the active speaker and follows their voice no matter where they move in the room.
“With TeamConnect Ceiling 2 we set web and video conferences free – making them simpler and more productive, while ensuring optimum audio quality for remote participants,” said Jens Werner, Portfolio Manager Business Communication at Sennheiser. “We
are very happy to take this pursuit of simplicity, performance and reliability even further with a TeamConnect Ceiling 2 bundle that ensures a seamless experience for Microsoft Teams users.”
“The certification indicates that this solution meets the highest specifications outlined in the certification program
to provide the best experiences, compatibility, and reliability when used with Microsoft Teams products,” explained Microsoft’s Ilya Bukshteyn, Head of Product (Partner Director), Microsoft Teams Devices.
Created with the ability to combine multiple ceiling tiles to serve medium
and large meeting rooms, Sennheiser’s adaptive beamforming technology automatically follows the active speaker’s voice, letting people speak naturally – whether they are sitting, standing or moving around the room. Hence, with TeamConnect Ceiling 2, the meeting room can be used in a totally flexible
way: Tables are free from cables and microphones, chairs and tables can be arranged as desired, and the meeting participants can move about the room freely.
TeamConnect Ceiling 2 also offers exceptional flexibility as it can be used together with existing analogue audio equipment as well as integrated into fully digital systems, where it can be controlled and monitored via the IP network. The ceiling array microphone supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), Sennheiser Control Cockpit, Dante Domain Manager and third-party control solutions such as the Crestron control platform.

Pexip and Microsoft announce initiative to simplify enterprise communications by providing free interoperability between commonly-used systems
Oslo, Norway - Pexip, a leading provider of video conferencing and collaboration solutions for the enterprise, has announced it will offer free Cloud Video Interop (CVI) services for customers of Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hub 2 systems. The offer is available directly via Pexip and participating partners and is valid for new customers of Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hub 2 solutions.
“The enterprise communications market is becoming increasingly complex, and we realize there is a great need to simplify it for most enterprises. As we are partners with Microsoft and see the company’s meeting room solutions gain tremendous popularity, we collaborate
to make the meeting environment easier to navigate for everyday users,” said Tom-Erik Lia, Chief Commercial Officer, Pexip. “With this offering, we make it a no-brainer for enterprises to enable their existing systems to join Microsoft Teams meetings hosted via either Microsoft Teams Rooms or the new Surface Hub 2.”
Cloud Video Interop enables third-party video conferencing and other non-Microsoft systems to join Microsoft Teams meetings. Enterprise users can choose whichever technology they have on hand to join. Typically, organizations have traditional video conferencing systems from vendors such as
Cisco and Poly in their large, high-profile rooms, but have recently started equipping many new rooms with more affordable systems such as Microsoft Teams Rooms. These video-capable meeting room solutions are not generally compatible, but CVI enables all of them to seamlessly work together.
“We are seeing a tremendous opportunity
for Microsoft Teams Meetings to bring
people around the world together to get work done. Together with our strong Cloud Video Interop partners like Pexip, customers can leverage their traditional room solutions to join Microsoft Teams Meetings while they start to equip rooms with a modern native Microsoft Teams solution like Microsoft Teams Rooms and Surface Hub,” said Christian Schacht, Sr. Product Marketing Manager, Microsoft 365.
“In the enterprise communications world, a simple and streamlined workflow is required in order to foster widespread user adoption,” said Ira M. Weinstein, founder of analyst firm Recon Research. “Solutions like Pexip’s Cloud Video Interop provide interoperability between key communication systems and services, without forcing users to change how they work, and without the hassle and expense of deploying additional technology.”
