KAWRJ Sukkot Potluck Dinner Under the Stars

Please bring a dish that reflects your heritage
It’s become an annual tradition that KAWRJ offers a time for our members and their spouses to eat in the sukkah. This year, we will be having our gathering in the sukkah prior to Friday night services. Come eat and visit with friends and then attend services together. In addition, you’ll have a chance to be one of the first to sign up for our Sociable Sign-Ups, our way to raise funds to send our CKA kids to various Jewish camps.
During Sukkot, it’s traditional to eat meals in the sukkah and invite guests to visit. When you run out of regular sukkah guests, you can invite the ushpizin (Aramaic for “visitors”), the Jewish patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) and matriarchs (Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah). You can also invite the spirits of your own ancestors into the sukkah — your grandparents and great-grandparents who have contributed to your Jewish heritage and knowledge.
This year, please bring a favorite dish your family members made to share with all of us.
