TREK TO NAG TIBBA
Trekking is one of the most-awaited events in our school for both the students
as well as the teachers. The students of grades IX, X and XII went to ‘Nag Tibba’
meaning ‘Serpents Peak’ in Mussoorie for a three-day long trek. The team
started for the camp site early morning. It took them around 3 to 4 hours of
travel before they started their walk to the first camp site. It was a bright
sunny day and they enjoyed their hike on the stiff mountain. They reached
their destination in the afternoon and were greeted to a warm and healthy
lunch. The day ended with fun filled activities, bonfire, music and dance. On
the second day, the group woke up early and after a hearty breakfast they
geared up to summit the Nag Tibba Peak. It was an arduous and steep climb
with a narrow terrain. They felt overjoyed and accomplished as they reached
the top. The evening was spent amidst the warm glow of a bonfire and
storytelling. On the third day, they descended the hill and reached a village
where they had a wholesome lunch and headed back to school. The trek
created great camaraderie among the team and lifetime reminiscence.
