KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS

AND TIGERS’ DAY

The school's weekly assembly on 27th July, 2022 was a festive occasion to
commemorate Kargil Vijay Diwas and Tigers' Day. The second-grade pupils led the
assembly as a whole. The day's activities began with a powerpoint presentation
sharing some very crucial information on the various operations carried out during
the 1999 Kargil war. The presentation was given by grade X students Bani Rawat,

Mokshika Upadhyay, and Shreya Khali. Following this, the students sang the lovely
song "Saare Jahan se Achha" to honour the efforts and sacrifices made by Indian
soldiers during the Kargil War.
Since 29th July, 2022 has been designated as Global Tigers' Day, students discussed
the significance of this particular day and provided details about the "Save Tigers"

project in India. An informative performance titled "How Did the Tiger Get Its
Stripes?" was performed by a select group of Grade II students. The faculty from
Helen O'Grady directed the play.
