Follow these steps for eye injuries:

2 Make sure the scene is safe. Get the first aid kit. Wear PPE.

3 Phone or ask someone to phone your emergency response number
4 (or 911) if the eye is hit hard or punctured. Tell the person to keep
her eyes closed.

If there is an irritant, such as sand, in the eye, use water to rinse the
eye.

If the irritant does not come out or if the person is in extreme pain,
phone or ask someone to phone your emergency response number
(or 911). Tell the person to keep her eyes closed.
