Risk Management

Criminal Background Search

Through its registration platform at GotSoccer, LSA conducts background checks
on every coach, assistant coach, trainer, manager, board member, certified
referee, staff member and volunteer in youth soccer across Louisiana.

Kidsafe Program

Through the nationally recognized KidSafe Program, LSA can advise clubs on
establishing policies, procedures, and governing operations to help minimize
the risk of harm or abuse to youth players.

Concussion Awareness and Safety

LSA is committed to concussion awareness and education. We will conduct
seminars for club officials, coaches and parents, produce written materials and
link posts on our website.

Player Safety and Club Support

• Monitors goal post and field safety and anchoring procedures to reduce the
potential for injuries caused by goal post failure or tipping

• Education on Dehydration and heat-related illness
• Procedures for managing media access during an investigation or claim,

including press conferences and/or releases and coordination with police
and other official news releases
• LSA will assist Clubs in developing procedures for safeguarding against
sexual misconduct and in adjudicating complaints
• Safeguarding club financials using security measures and insurance
