seemed to drop out of sight.
In the meantime, MaryCatherine and her dad
joined a Christian group that met at a small chil- dren’s home. They enjoyed worshiping with these Nepali believers. MaryCatherine liked telling stories from the Gospels to the youngest children. She often gave them her own sketches to go along with the Bi- ble passages, trying to use Nepali art forms.
The following Sunday, Daya joined them at the home where services were held. MaryCatherine was nearly in tears for joy. She wanted to hug her dark- haired friend but held back, not sure if it would of- fend her. Daya took the lead and easily showed how happy she was that they were together again.
