Page 24 - Celebration of Issa's life
P. 24
My Tribute to Isaiah Ogor ISSA I joined
Safaricom in the same year as Issa, 2006 & our
paths crossed a number of times when doing Rollout
sites in the then Eastern province. As always with
Issa it was always more than just work & he always
made me feel at home anytime I visited his region.
Issa was always in charge. Years later around 2014,
my wife & I were looking for a place to buy land for
our family home. I happened to mention this to Issa
and as he often did, he had a solution for us. He
introduced us to Kitengela where he stayed & Athi
River where he spent his growing years. He gave
glowing stories in the colorful way he always
communicated. We easily bought in. He dedicated
his time to show us around. "Just call me anytime,
I'll take you" he told us any time we thought of
visiting prospective plots. He always had time for
people! Well, we have now lived in Kitengela for 2 &
a half years thanks in no small part to Issa. I will
miss the passionate chats in your front porch - Issa
was full of life. Even with the burden of sickness,
Issa was a warrior. May God grant Issa rest in
eternal peace. Rest easy Issa!
