DON’T MISS GSABA’S OCTOBER EVENTS AND THE 2024 PARADE OF HOMES IN ENCHANTED BLUFF!
Fall is here, and everyone is enjoying the cooler temperatures! We have a busy month planned for our members, and we hope that you will join us for our annual Chili Cook-Off, which will be held in the GSABA Parking Lot on Friday, October 18th. This fun event is hosted by GSABA’s Young Professional Leadership Council (YPLC).
Join our chili and cornhole teams- the entry fee for a chili team is $250, and you can enter the cornhole tournament for $35. This is a great way to network and get to know your fellow GSABA members! I want to give a special shout out to Margo Villareal with Sitterle Homes and Jimmy Clanton with ARCXIS for their leadership and hard work on this event.
Join us for our next education event at GSABA in the Ballroom on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, sponsored by Maverick Warranties and Insurance. This session will give you valuable knowledge about beating foundation problems. You’ll learn how soil, trees, and fill can ruin foundations and, most importantly, how to prevent these issues from occurring. This session will provide attendees with real examples and actionable tips to apply immediately.
We have an all-star panel of experts, including Alan Vasquez, the owner of Geotechnical Solutions; Tom Quintero, Senior Engineer with Cen Tex Engineering; and Brant Roaming, Risk Manager with Maverick Warranties and Insurance. This class is a great way to learn how to avoid costly mistakes and build your reputation for quality work. You'll also network with other builders dealing with the same challenges. The 2024 Parade of Homes will be held from Saturday, November 2nd, through Sunday, November 10th, in the Enchanted Bluff Community just outside of Garden Ridge. This year’s Parade of Homes features six gorgeous homes. You can find more details on the Builders and the event on pages 20—24 of this month’s Builder Brief.
Every GSABA member will receive ten tickets in the mail in the next few weeks. We are offering ten tickets at $7 each to GSABA members only! Online tickets and tickets at the gate are $15. If you can’t use the tickets, please return them to GSABA. An invoice for $70 will be enclosed with the ten tickets, and we would sincerely appreciate your support for our largest fundraising event of the year. Parade tickets are great to share with customers, family, and friends!

And while the dust hasn’t yet settled on the 2024 Parade of Homes, the 2025 Parade of Homes is already in the works and will be held May 17th through May 26th in George’s Ranch showcasing eight outstanding custom home builders. Plus, there is still time to join and participate in the 2026 Parade of Homes in Stone Creek Ranch in Fair Oaks Ranch. We have a full packet of information to share on these one-acre+ lots, along with lot prices and community details.
