BPS School Board New Year’s Resolutions
           District 5 Katye Campbell
District 4 Matt Susin
District 2 Cheryl McDougall
 Dr. Mark Mullins, Superintendent
Personal Goal:
To run a half marathon in 2019.
Professional Goal: To finish visiting every school by the end of the school year, to speak with our administrators, teachers and staff and learn about the great work happening across the district and where we can always be improving.
Misty Belford, District 1
To sharpen the saw daily by making time for exercise and nature (to reflect and recharge), reading and researching various educational issues (to drive improvement in our district), and taking time to mentor students. Mentoring not only helps the individual students but it also improves the district and most importantly, it keeps me focused on what is most important in this job. I am looking forward to a great 2019!
Matt Susin, District 4
Continue working to tie faith-based groups to schools to help support the various needs of teachers and students, and on connecting our CTE programs to local businesses to provide a path for a skilled and valuable workforce. This will also help to solidify Brevard as a premiere and innovative leader in STEM.
District 3 Tina Descovich
   Superintendent Dr. Mark Mullins
Cheryl McDougall, District 2
I purposely did not make any New Year resolutions. But I can say that I want to be mindful in all my activities and always speak my truth.
District 1 Misty Belford
                                      Tina Descovich, District 3
To continue to focus on security priorities and work toward making our schools as safe as possible. Challenge the status quo and be proactive in making sure the future plans of Brevard Public Schools are not entirely based on past practice, and to work harder on spreading good news about Brevard Public Schools in every venue possible.
                    Katye Campbell, District 5
Goal #1: To visit all of the District 5 schools (campus tour, sit down with the principal, meet staff, etc.) by the end of February, and then continue regular visits to each campus.
Goal #2: Finish at least one book a month on topics of leadership, education, family, and some fiction for fun!
