Palm Bay Magnet High unveils dual-enrollment program and upgrades

Palm Bay Magnet High students are o ered a variety
of challenging and high-tech opportuni es including a new, exclusive dual-enrollment partnership with Florida Ins tute of Technology.
The school is the  rst and only STEAM magnet high school in Brevard County. It’s also the only district school to o er full programs in applied robo cs, game design and computer programming.

Academy
courses will
begin being
o ered during
the 2018-2019 school year. The program is designed to prepare students for success in industries unique to the Space Coast.

P2P students can take courses in many subjects such
as engineering, robo cs, game design, computer programming and bioscience. If a student earns a grade of B or higher in two of the P2P courses, they will be accepted into Florida Tech a er gradua ng high school, if they wish to con nue their educa on at the university.
Students must be enrolled at Palm Bay Magnet High to par cipate in the P2P Academy or any of the school’s
other cu ng-edge programs. All incoming and current BPS high school students are welcome to apply.

In addi on to o ering challenging academic programs, many improvements have been made to the campus. The enhancements include a redesigned media center, adding
makerspace, idea on and FUSE labs and boos ng school spirit with updated branding.
